Rodgers C Gold
DirectorRodgers has been an artistic and technical investor in the professional entertainment industry for over 22 years with a formative 12 in formal school drama and music clubs. He started off as a stage play thespian, moving to the small screen in 2005, and in 2008 between running (to the ground) a production company, he transitioned to full time behind-the-camera action, setting off as a Grip apprentice for 2 years, then moved on to Lighting until 2015 as a Gaffer, eventually as a full time AC/Focus Puller which he dabbled in from 2013 concurrently, excelling until recently when he handed over the mantle, tools and reins to his faithful protégés.
Rodgers is a vastly travelled and highly experienced Director of Photography where he gleaned from some of the world’s best industry Directors and DOPs. One thing that drives him is an unrelenting passion and zeal for telling human stories with integrity, highest quality possible and in as much accuracy without compromising on the entertainment aspect of the project. Trusted by continental and global clients to deliver, he is spurred on by that reputation, daily refining his craft to grow in grace, stature and identity.
As founding Director of Golden Zeal Pictures, Rodgers has overseen equal-opportunity for everyone under the umbrella of the boutique film and TV agency, creating a safe space for the female crew, while not compromising on the demands for excellence and delivery. His vision is a place where it is safe for everyone to express their gifting while staying true to the essence of their calling. He won’t stop until narratives from us about Africa are established in integrity, excellence, truth and value
